World's Heaviest
Rotating Globe
The second largest revolving globe is the Globe of Peace in Apecci,
Pesaro, Italy, which is 33 feet in diameter. At 30 tons, the Globe of Peace is
still the heaviest rotating globe in the world, far outweighing the 2.5 ton
Eartha. Situated on the Piazzale della libertą, it is the work of the famous
sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro.
