Adirondack Park

Created by the state of New York in 1892, Adirondack Park is larger than the Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Glacier, and Olympic National Parks combined.
Encompassing almost six million acres, it is the
largest publicly protected area in the contiguous United States.

First Native Species
Butterfly House in the U.S.

Adirondack Park also includes the country's first Native Species Butterfly House
which is located at the Paul Smiths Visitor Interpretive Center.
